Elizabeth continues to position The Centers' Gordon Square campus, the largest employer in the district, as a neighborhood anchor and partner. The campus serves over 2,000 children, adults and families each year with integrated health care, high quality early learning and workforce development programs. Most recently, The Centers' El Barrio Workforce Development Center partnered with Detroit Shoreway to launch Hire Local, an initiative aimed at connecting neighborhood residents with local businesses for employment. This spring, we'll install a vibrant three-story mural on The Centers' Reinberger Auditorium to welcome people to the neighborhood.
