Hispanic Cultural Day A celebration of music from the country of Brazil, featuring the music of the Moises Borges Band, as well as Samba dancing from Samba da Cidade, and more. The World on Stage concert and event series takes place at the Centennial Peace Plaza (1051 Martin Luther King Blvd.) throughout the summer.
We are delighted to announce that in 2023, our format will change from that of concert-only events by single performance groups. This summer, the Cultural Gardens will host multi-faceted events focusing on regions of the world. We’ll kick off with Africa Day on July 1, followed by Middle East Day on July 22; Hispanic Cultures Day on August 12, and Asian Cultures Day on Sept. 9. This summer also features Community Night, in conjunction with Famicos Foundation and our neighbors in Glenville, on August 5, and the International Music Competition in late August.
The regional events will feature music, dance, fashion shows, youth groups, cooking demonstrations and other traditional expressions of culture. Check out our events schedule for times and dates, and join us in experiencing the World on Stage. Free admission.
