Greetings my friends
After five years of writing, recording, refining, editing, finally this music work is complete, published and I am so happy to have the opportunity to share it with you.
This music work is dedicated to being a “Baiano”, a person born in the state of Bahia in Brazil. The rich and beautiful musicality of that heavily African influenced place is so inspiring, Bahia is the place in Brazil that more songs have been written about by many composers. Joao Gilberto, Vinicius de Moraes, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Joao Bosco, Gal Costa, Jobim, Ary Barroso, just to name some. By living in the US away from my homeland it gave me distinction to elaborate songs inspired by those master's musical feelings, to slowly come up with my own version of the love for Bahia with music.
On this album I had the pleasure and blessing to have the participation of respected international names such as Diego Figueiredo, Ken Peplowski, Chuchito Valdes, and more, an incredible cast of talents at every step, carefully added. That global health problem gave us time to elaborate and put our hearts into it without hurry and here are the songs ready for you.
Enjoy it.
